Your Wedding Music, Abroad

Your Wedding Music, Abroad

Congratulations!

You're getting married abroad.

Weddings can be complicated to organise, especially when abroad. There are many considerations over and above a UK based wedding. I will do my best to ensure a stress free, bespoke entertainment experience to suit your Destination Wedding needs.

I personally answer every email, text or call. You won’t be passed between employee’s, unfamiliar with the specifics of your wedding.

I take your wedding personally and seriously, after all it’s the most important day of your life!

Travel Reminder

‘The 3 Day Booking’

I will always travel to a destination the day before I am due to perform. This is soley to minimise the risk of travel delays or complications outside of my control that would adversly affect your wedding. I.e. the unlikely event of strikes or extreme delays etc. Also being there early allows for a better assessment of the venue, logistics and timings of your special day.

Abroad, 3 Day Bookings: Arrival Day, Performance Day, Depature Day.

The abroad packages are subject to an increased fee as I will be declining other bookings on these travel days.

Note: If you don’t end up booking with me, I strongly advise against hiring anyone that offers to fly out on the same day as your wedding. If they offer to do this, they are most likely inexperienced or don’t care enough. If there is an airline delay… you could be without entertainment! Just a friendly tip 🙂

Destination: Ibiza

“Absolutely amazing from start to finish! The best party a bride could wish for! Having you at our wedding got all of the guests talking about how great the music was, so thank you very much!”

Travel Notes

Here are a few of my observations about Weddings abroad.

Destination Wedding Entertainment is considerably more costly than weddings that take place within in the UK due to the reasons listed below. I will expand on these costs and try to help forecast them for you so that they can be accounted for within your entertainemt budget.

1) The Three Day Booking

2) Flights/Travel & Accommodation

3) Local Sound & Lighting Hire

The Three Day Booking

Let’s make sure we arrive!

The first thing that I would like to explain is that my team and I will always travel to a destination the day before we are due to perform. This is mainly to minimise the risk of travel delays or complications outside of my control that would adversly affect your wedding. I.e. the unlikely event of strikes or extreme delays etc. Also being there early allows for a better assessment of the venue, logistics and timings of your special day.

Abroad bookings therefore are 3 Day Bookings. Arrival Day, Performance Day, Depature Day.

I have travelled on the same day before and been held up on the tarmac for 5 hours… Hoping that I would arrive in time and by pure luck, arriving almost exactly in time to start playing. I wish to avoid this scary scenario at all costs, hence my policy to always travel the day prior to your wedding.

Due to the ‘3 Day Booking’ policy as mentioned above. The abroad packages are subject to a +60% fee as my team and I would be declining work on the travel days. i.e. the day before your wedding and the day after your wedding. (The abroad packages on my website have taken this into acount and will clearly state that within the package details.)

Flights/Travel & Accommodation

Travel Estimate Guide

This is a rough guide to the travel costs incurred with Destination Wedding Entertainment based upon my experience with previous weddings abroad.

Once agreed, The ‘Travel Costs Invoice’ would need to be paid along with the deposit invoice so that I can book all of the travel as soon as possible. This is to minimise the risk of the prices going up, as they would be subject to change that is out of my control, e.g. RyanAir up their flight cost and I have to re-invoice you etc.

Example Travel Costs

Flights:

Return Ticket, Cost Per Person = £ ?

+

Baggage:

1 Hold Suitcase Per Person, mixture of clothes & instrument accessories.

Return Cost usually around £60

+

Instrument Carriage:

Instrument Carriage is usually around £100 for a return flight.

+

Transfers / Rental Car:

£150-250, Rough estimate based on previous destination weddings.

This can be done one of two ways:

I can hire a car from a reputable car company such as ‘Europcar’. For the standard 3 day Period.

2) You / Your wedding planner book in required transfers. £?

Usually, I would advise the Rental Car option.

My reasoning is that if I am not a guest at the Wedding Venue then there would be multiple small journeys between the Venue and my accommodation to take into account also.

+

Accommodation:

Two nights: The night before your wedding and the night of your wedding.

1) At Wedding Venue – This option, If possible is always the most convenient and flexible.

2) A Nearby Hotel / Nice Air Bn’B etc

If your planner will be booking the accommodation I would need them to send me the links to the accommodation so that I could agree it with them prior to them booking it, as I have had some interesting past experiences.

= Total For The Travel Invoice

See Below for an example of Travel Costs based on these estimates:

Flights………………………..…£160

Baggage……………………….…£60

Instrument Carriage……£100

Hotel (2 nights)………….. £250

Rental Car………………….. £180

Example Total.….£750

This example is based upon the ‘Solo Sax’ Package, i.e. Just me, traveling alone & are estimates, not accurate quotes. (This is a guide. Your travel costs will be quoted upon request when you want to book).
